I borrowed this post from the A&M vs. Tech thread. It pretty much shows Frans lack of coaching skills, even with talented players.
Is A&M really outrecruiting Tech?
I thought the recruiting info was especially interesting in today's A&M-Tech comparison. Here it is:
State top 100 recruits
Texas A&M: 71
Texas Tech: 29
National top 100 recruits
Texas A&M: 12
Texas Tech: 0*
*Does not include guard Ofa Mohetau, a national top 100 recruit out of Euless Trinity who signed with Tech after a season at a junior college.
Those numbers make a clear case for Mike Leach and the Tech staff doing a much better coaching job than Dennis Franchione and the A&M staff.
It also illustrates the difference between the way A&M and Tech recruit. The Aggies load up early on "can't-miss" prospects who often arrive on campus with egos to match their hype. The Red Raiders rely much more on scouting seniors who aren't on the radar screens of national powers for whatever reason. Those guys go to college with a lot to prove.

I say Coker....he's had loads of talent but Miami isn't playing like they're supposed to with that talent. They're also losing games they shouldn't which I suppose ties in with them not playing like they're supposed to.

Larry Coker wins 9 or 10 games a year. Aggy has not been bowl eligible two out of the last three years with their talent. My vote is for Fran

He's been on the hot seat since spring practice. He's fired after this season. He's lost too many games (according to Miami standards)

Coker has done about as bad a job as one could with the U. Hppefully he leaves a new coach comes in that wants Fanuzzi... but a coach who doesn't suck.

miami's got plenty of talent it's just that he's done a poor job of coaching...he has definetly not done more with less...he's done less with more...

Texas A&M Aggies, since Franchoney became HC:
Overall Record: 20-19
2003 - 4-8
2004 - 7-4
2005 - 5-6
2006 - 4-1 (On-going) (0-1 against opponents ranked righer than 45th.;))
Has produced no 1st Round Draft picks. Has produced 2 NFL Draft picks in his tenure.
Active NFL Alumni, since Dennis became HC:

Boone Stutz (Atlanta)
Who has done less, with more?
Neither have done what they were brought in to do. (Obviously Dennis is a joke.) Dennis was brought in to take A&M to the elite level of NC talk and projection. Simply put, he was brought to make them a NC Contender. Coker was brought in, sat down and told..."Just don't lose the games, for us!". Obviously, neither have lived up to par.
But, on the basis on the question, I'd have to say Larry Coker is the answer. He has had a program that could quite possibly be looked at as an NFL Football squad. IMO, he should of played in, at least, 4 NC's and won no less than 3 of them.
Coker has allowed the Hurricane program to deminish in pride, skill and hype. Did anyone see how many fans were in attendance, at the Houston game? I bet there was twice as many fans at the Katy vs SLC game, last season. He's been outcoached, and is now the bud of jokes, via fans, sports reporters and analysts, across the Nation.
Brother Coker, it's time to step aside. Unfortunately, a 56-11 record and a National Title - while respectable - is not nearly enough for "The U".;)

Putting Bobby Bowden in this poll is not only unfair, it is stupid!
Are you seriously putting the all-time winningest coach in a negative poll? What a joke.
