c-town_scout, I like the way you came up with 5 regions. The UIL has 4 regions.

This has got to be more of a geography quiz...than a football thing...Right???

Can you please clarify which of your regions fall into the 4 UIL regions? Or list which teams fall into each of your regions?

I am in Region 3 and always will b;, (with lots of football talent, Northshores, et.al.), last season looking at all those strong teams to the north; Dallas area plus Lufkin, I have to tip to the north. (look at the state finalist results).

And there is always SV.

I find that word of wisdom intriguing (sp).
SV sure looked strong when we played them last year and a couple of years before that.

ahh, I just read your quote...Judson makes that list....just haven't played CJ

I know they looked strong...they try...

There is no way I can make a case for the south...The valley screws that. BUT i think most of the teams out of 26-5A would make the playoffs in almost any district u put them in. They might get 4th, but they would all make the playoffs. There are a few teams out of 25-5A and 28-5A that could hang well in other districts, but overall the South is not good.

265a proved that last year; sure seemed like it was some kind of record, as far as your 3 teams went.

IDK if it was a record, but it was pretty cool

In 1995 Judson and Roosevelt won State. Both are in 26-5A. Roosevelt was 16-0 and Judson 14-1, with the only loss being to Roosy

We agree on that, Miss Kitty!

Every region has their strengths and weaknesses. But overall, Region III has proven to dominate Region IV.

It is nice to be in agreement. :D

42 of the 44 programs that can lay any claim to a 5A State Title are visible by individual year on the map. The 2 missing labels are the Plano 1986 and 1994 champs. There are actually placemarks there for them but there are too many markers clumped together in too small of an area for the labels to show up. That right there should answer the question posed in the thread title. The multiple markers visible in the San Antonio area appear to be several different locations but are actually just representing Converse Judson six times over, and their neighbor to the west SA Roosevelt once.

It's not even close, Region 2 is the best in Texas.

Region II has more excellent teams with talent and coaching than all the others combined. Sorry Katy, NS and SV...and Pearland, you know its the truth!!!!
