The 1st team offense had their ups and downs. When the holes were there Jason took advantage, but when the holes werent there it wasn't a pretty sight. On the 2nd play of the Scrimmage Drew hooked up with Travis on a steak play for 6, about 60 yards out, with the hole scrimmage format. Drew was throwing strikes when the pressure wasnt in his face before he finished his reads. Although it was Killeens 2nd team defense, Josh McKinnley looked like a man among boys. He has a cannon and reminds me alot of a high school version of Donovan McNabb. He doesnt just accept that he is going down, he was cutting at a dime and turning a 5 yard scramble into 20 or so yards. It should be interesting to see how the qb situation plays out this year, because both looked solid and nothing was solved in this scrimmage as far as that goes. Drew looked like the qb he was last year with his poise and ability to hit the open reciever, but Josh simply looks like a man among boys when he lines up at qb. For you longhorn fans i view it this way. Who would you rather have as your starting qb, the fan favorite Major Applewhite (Drew Dunn) or Vince Young (Josh McKinnley). Should be interesting. If their are any Westlake fans out there, i'd like to know what your scrimmage looked like if you dont mind. I saw a few of your coaches at our scrimmage, as a few of ours probably went to yours.

Hey, can anyone tell me how Killeen was when they had David Wetzel as Head Coach?
Just private message me, that'd be the best way.

Fairly athletic qb, but considering not a single team in 15-5a has a mobile qb besides our Josh McKinnley it seems like, you should probably get another opinion on how athletic he is lol. Their oline didnt hold up very well against our dline, but when we'd get to the qb hed take off and run and a few people were out of position. It really seemed like he was their stand out player. Their recievers were dropping alot of the strikes he was throwing. We were able to pass on them with little problem, but they did a solid job of stopping our run game. It shouldnt be much of a problem with you guys if you can get pressure on him. I want to find out who Westlake scrimmaged and how they did.

Westlake played McNeil this morning, but I wasn't able to go, so I can't tell you anything about how they did.

Hey LL, what happened to Gurinsky Gillyland? I'm sure I butchered his name, but you should know who I'm talking about. Is he not in the mix at QB anymore? Is he a reciever? A DB? I thought he was pretty talented.

He is still probably the best athlete on the team and probably the fastest, but he will be bounced around a bit. A little wr a little qb, and returning for sure. He isnt exactly one of our top 2 qbs however with Drew Dunn and Josh McKinnley.
