No, but when your playoff hopes are in the hands of 2 other teams performances, and you have to beat your team by 21 or whatever it was, yes. They will be on suspension for a week at the most.

I think after the 2 loses one in overtime they should be fired. The "Your Fired" posts have to do with how far you go in playoffs. Gotta win the overtime games to go far in playoffs IMHO!

265 is a tough team. I agree, if you lose in that one, for sure to one of the top 3, its not big deal. Just as long as you can win some and get your spot in the playoffs. Not an easy spot to earn, way more difficult it looks like after tonight.

Well, Lonny, I want to help you out this week. I guess you should take this into consideration too... a reliable source just sent me this.... Canyon beat Tivy 24-0 without their starting backfieild (including all everything Chase Wilke) for most of the game.

Poor Wilke... poor Canyon. I really feel bad for the Cougars because they were contenders....

Since you started the thread, I'll explain here. Judson is fired. That doesn't mean I think they're done this year, because they might not be. I'm just not going to leave them on here while they're working the kinks out. They can easily get off the fired list by winning, but the onus is on them. I don't think Judson's playoff hopes are shot, either. They could win the rest of their district games, but they're just not a shoo-in for the playoffs right now.

Why I fired them:

1. They're not stopping the better QB's right now. McKinley and Fanuzzi both had good games throwing and running.
2. Rackley obviously doesn't trust the offense right now because he didn't go for the win.
3. The loss matrix got to Judson. I don't worry about Tivy losing to San Marcos by 1, but they can't lose to NB Canyon by 24. After Leander beat Judson, they lost to A&M Consolidated and Bryan. Those guys lost to Katy and Desoto tonight. If Judson is going to lose, it has to be to teams who are winning their games.
4. Judson let Churchill have the ball way too long tonight. You don't win football games that way.

Judson fans, the team is struggling right now and needs your support. I know they're trying, but they're not playing well enough.

Judson players, I believe in you. You're not getting it done right now. I have to fire you based upon your performance so far. I know you can win games, but you're going to have to do it. GO OUT THERE AND WIN!

Canyon should still make the playoffs. A torn ACL is just speculation because there is no way he got Xrayed las night, but it doesn't look good. It sucks though... I think Canyon had a real shot at going deep.
