Dallas Carter, Midland, Euless Trinity Scrimmage

Midland Defense: Wow, they have some very nice speed, swarming to the ball. I was very impressed by them. They aren't huge, but they're pretty big and big with speed can be a very good thing.

Midland offense: I've never seen them before now so I don't know how they looked last year but right now they seem to be clicking on all cylinders. Had some good plays both running and passing. Moved the ball fairly well.

Euless Trinity Defense: I mostly saw them against Carter and they were pretty solid. They might have some trouble with the pass is my guess.

Trinity Offense: As usual they are just huge upfront on that line. They should have a good running game this year. I think a very speedy defense though can shut them down though. I've always thought that speed can kill size because size is slower. But hey thats just my thought. But overall I think Trinity is ready to make a serious run this year. A dangerous team to face any week.

Dallas Carter Defense: If you saw Carter last year then you know what their Defense looks like. Good size, Good speed. Not much else to say.

Dallas Carter Offense: Just like Trinity they have a huge front line. Carter always brings a good running game with a decent pass game behind it. Carter looks ready to go and appears to be as dangerous as ever.

Overall all three teams look good for Week 0 and aren't too out of sync in my opinion. There were quite a few fans there from Midland which was nice. Of course there were Trinity fans. Not sure there were many Carter fans though.

3 very good football teams took the field and man they were hitting hard out there. Well, lets get down to what you really want to know.
1st Teams Only:
TRINITY vs MIDLAND 2 - 2 TRINITY vs CARTER 1 - 1
MIDLAND vs TRINITY 2 - 2 MIDLAND vs CARTER 1 - 1

ROY'S BOYS, LoL, 2nd Teams:
TRINITY vs. MIDLAND 0 - 2 TRINITY vs CARTER 1 - 2
MIDLAND vs TRINITY 2 -0 MIDLAND vs CARTER 0 - 2

TOTALS:
T(1s)= 3-3 T(2s)= 1-4 total 4-7
M(1s)= 3-3 M(2s)= 3-2 total 6-5
C(1s)= 2-2 C(2s)= 4-1 total 6-3

Now for the team Summaries
Trinity - didnt play their 2 good running backs for some reason  especially in a good scrimmage verse two good teams. Their Offense looked good still although their run game was very poor they were effective with their play action at times. Speed was very limited and their O-Line was not as impressive as in years past. To speak of their Defense is a waste of time, but its early, they have none. They need alot of work, they couldnt slow down either team. Midlands spread offense disected them and Carter's wing-t pounded on them. Trinity's O will have to carry them because their D is not there right now.

Midland - came along way to play a scrimmage but they came to play. They looked very impressive and could be a team to be reckoned with. Faster than what I expected especially their QB, RB(1), RB(2), & their Defense. They played good solid Defense and their Offense was good also but they had some problems with the speed and size of Carter but they held their own for the most part. They brought some fan support & alot of players. They will be a good team to follow.

Carter - I like what I saw with this team. They were physical and fast. They started off slow but they finished the scrimmage as the dominant team. They scored at will on both teams after looking like they were flirting with some spread. Yes people, Carter and spread sounds strange. I guess the coaches said enough was enough and mixed both offenses spread and wing-t in the scrimmage. Their Defense was solid except for 2 big plays, who is #81, he played LB for them and he was hitting and they had some Ends that looked good also. Their Offense is big, fast & physical and I like they play their players on both sides of the football. Oh, and their QB, well you will see

1 - Carter...Good,Physical,Fast Defense & Offense could make a run this year
2 - Midland...Good Offense & Good Defense
3 - Trinity...RBs didnt play but their Defense is not there
