THat seems a little screwey to me...but no one can know who will have the best preseason rankings year to year...i wonder if anyone has ever compared a lot of the polls to see who was right or closest to being right

4 of the top 40 being from 26-5A looks about right. I still say Judson should be in front of Westfield in every poll because they'll beat the Mustangs in San Antonio if they play in the semis.

Sounds like a pretty tough Schedule for Judson. #23 Pflugerville, #10 Copperas Cove, #4 Smithson Valley, #26 SA Churchill, #35 SA Madison

Possible Playoff Match-ups - #16 Schertz Clemens, #14 SA O'Connor, #3 Spring Westfield.

That is a pretty silly statement. Westfield was all over Judson last year, and with a young, inexperienced team. I have seen you post several times this year that last year's Judson team was one of the best in several years. I was not as impressed as I expected to be. I classified them as a very well coached talented team, but certainly not a state finalist team.

You watched one game and it was their worst of the year. Judson made mistakes and lost their cool and that doesn't usually happen. They lost to a very talented team. I just don't think Judson will lose to them in basically a home game. It can happen and I'll say Westfield is the better team. Last year, Westfield got the benefit of the home game and that's always worth something. I don't think it's worth 14 points, but it is worth a little.

That's why I said Judson had the hardest schedule. You can also throw in a Finals team like Trinity or Tyler Lee to make it 9 top 40 in 15 games.

Those are some kind of weird rankings. Tyler Lee 15th? Longview #1? Not that I think Longview wont be great, but theres a team over in Southlake that doesnt lose very often...

Hey, let the Lobos have the bullseye on them....they've got some things to prove (like being able to beat Lufkin) lets see them do it!

It's hard for us..no matter what we say, people think we're cocky or arrogant...I know...waaa, waaaa.... :) I like someone else getting the heat of #1 for a change...it will all shake out in December...

Wow, That Ranks are very messed up and crap and our really best player is Preston Hill pretty much but Jason William is not the best one on our team. I have other players like McKenzie.

This drives me insane. They said it in Dave Campbells and this website. Travis Njuko is in no way shape or form anywhere close to a linebacker. He will start at corner most likely and if not there then he will just start at wide reciever and not play defense. What should have been put for Leander was they teturn All district wide reciever Travis Njuko and All district TE Brett Schroeder. Travis is sitting at about 6'1" 180. I'm not saying he wont come up and hit somebody cause he will, but he will be one of the last people on our defense you will see lining up at linebacker.

You are exactly right. It will shake out in December.

Preseason rankings don't mean anything. It is nice to be recognized for hard work and a quality program over the past few years, but that all goes out the window at opening kickoff.
