one of the best districts in texas that produces contenders for the 'ship every year. i cant wait to see what the district standings will be going into playoffs, should be very interesting. I for one hope SV gets the monkey off their back and takes the title home but with madison, judson, churchill and an always tough playoff bracket its gonna be mighty difficult.

"The 265" Standings Week Three

Madison..............1-0...3-0
Smithson Valley....1-0...3-0
Churchill..............1-0...3-0
Roosevelt............1-0...3-0
Judson................0-0...2-0
Lee....................0-1...2-1
MacArthur...........0-1...2-1
Reagan...............0-1...1-2
Wagner..............0-1...1-2

"The 265" Week Three Schedule
Churchill at Judson - Judson has a week to get ready for Fanuzzi, Resendiz and company. Judson bounced back against 4A Tivy after an opening week loss. Nothing new for Judson as they have started slow under Rackley. Churchill's Fanuzzi has not been spectacular throwing the ball this year with a QB rating of 81.54 and 2 picks last week against Reagan. Judson looks to get off on the right foot with this home district opener and not be rusty after the week off. Churchill will try and pound Resendiz again this week and control the clock.

Madison vs Lee - Madison off a sloppy performance vs Wagner plays their first game at Comalander of 2006. Madison's Devin Thomas burst onto the scene after sitting out the first game of the season. Madison defense has not allowed a TD in the past 11 quarters and has only given up 14 points total in 3 games. Unlike years past Lee comes into the contest with the electric offensive firepower. Travis Lewis leads all rushers in The 265 with 519yards. Lewis was held down by Roosevelt in the district opener but is always a threat to break the big one. Lee's Jerome Tiller has an incredible QB rating of 135.09 and has not tossed a pick in three contest. Lee's lack of depth may come to hurt them again this week against Madison.

Roosevelt vs Smithson Valley - In what use to be the Hill Bowl; these two teams will battle in the sticks Friday night. Smithson Valley has an extremely quick defense but is small. SV plays basically 11 linebackers on the field at one time. Like SV teams of recent memory they are opportunistic and take advantage of their opponent’s mistakes. Larry Hill is also a master of using the clock to his advantage. Roosevelt has quietly gone undefeated in the young season. Holding Rush-happy Clemens and Lee to half of their normal total they will have their hands full with SV's Rios. The Roos ride the legs and arm of QB Marikese White and his 287 yards rushing and 317 yards passing.

MacArthur vs Reagan - Mac enters this contest reeling after getting dropped by Smithson Valley, and looking for revenge from last years loss to the Rattlers. Mac has firepower on offence with Jonathon Craig leading all 26-5A scorers with 36points. He is also 5th out of all The 265 rushers with 311 yards. Mac QB Kevin Schmid did not fair well against SV last week but still leads all The 265 passers with 431 yards. Some at the start of this season thought this was the Ratt's year with 7 returning defenders. But it has been the Defense that has let the Reagan Nation down but not as bad as the offensive side of the ball. The O-unit has only scored 3 TDs this year and has not been over 14 points in any one contest. Mac and Reagan will have to turn things around quickly or will be looking to 2007 as both teams enter this game with their backs against the wall.

Wagner - Bye week

Sorry Lonny unless Fanuzzi catches a hang nail I think the Diamond J is in a bit of trouble this week. He's not as good as the signal caller you saw in Week-Z but he’s no chick either. Churchill is playing with a two year chip on their shoulder and catching Judson early in the year always gives you a better chance. Don't worry I got you winning 4 of the next 5 and you wont have to blow out the Ratt's this year to make it in.

Folks have spoken badly about Judson's secondary, that is a mistake. Fanuzzi has not faced athletes like Judson has yet this year. And for my money, let him have a preformance this week like he did last week and it will be a Judson blowout.

The reagan corner he threw those 2 picks to is only a shophmore and is a stud. he would not be a starter on varsity if he was not good enough do do what he did against fanuzzi

Reb-

I agree Fanuzzi comes out and plays like he did against Reagan and Judson will win. But I think the key is Resendiz 6 TDs, 7.14 yards per carry.
