We had a good thread going about what makes a champion. It's always been a subject of good debate on our board and in general. I'm a quote nerd, and love to look for new ones to add to my list.

I found this one from the champ himself that pretty well sums up what, in fact, makes a champion in my opinion...

"Champions aren't made in gyms. Champions are made from something they have deep inside them: A desire, a dream, a vision. They have to have last-minute stamina, they have to be a little faster, they have to have the skill and the will. But the will must be stronger than the skill."

Ali was the most amazing athlete I've ever seen....anyone who has ever tried to box understands...and his intellect was amazing for an uneducated kid from the streets of Louisville....

His video and that of other great boxers makes for awesome motivational material on gamedays. Watching the quick flurry of punches setting up the KO blow. Great stuff pre-game. I'd never seen Ali fight before we got a hold of some boxing highlights in the fieldhouse one day. Just amazing.

As a former Boxer and one of the biggest boxing fans ever...ALI was AWESOME. Roy Jones came close....Floyd Mayweather is poetry in motion also.
